Maison Soulat, your wine merchant in Angoulême & Saint-Sornin
wines, champagnes, local craft beers and spirits
Sharing and conviviality, two values that are dear to us.
Originally from Libourne, Jacques Soulat has been living in the Charente since 2002. In 2010, he created Maison Soulat. His activity is based on precious moments of exchange. Driven by a passion for wine and human contact, this "Taste Explorer" enjoys visiting the estates he represents, talking to their winemakers and passing on his discoveries to the customers of his two shops, located in Les Halles d'Angoulême and La Cave de Saint-Sornin.
A fervent ambassador of the Charente region, Jacques Soulat places local wines and spirits at the heart of the offer of his two cellars: Lhéraud cognacs, Bastille whiskies, Audemus gins, Naud rums and gin, L'Élixir de la Dame vermouths, La Débauche beers and Maverlan wines are just some of the ones he represents.
In association with Olivier Pucek (Maverlan wines in Miaulant), Maison Soulat also produces Sapiens and Petit Sapiens, the first wines in a decade to carry the appellation Charentais Saint-Sornin. They are made in a way that is respectful of the terroir they come from. The vineyard is in its first year of conversion to organic farming.
In addition, Maison Soulat offers a selection of Japanese whiskies, Scotches and each spring, the primeurs of the Bordeaux Crus.
