Agerria 2021 - Irouleguy
Playing on the complementarity of grape varieties, with Merlot as the main source of its juicy texture, "Terroir Gascon" draws its freshness from the Cabernet Franc, while the Tannat brings structure. A fruity and supple wine, with crisp fruit, combining notes of black cherry with others spicy and peppery notes. The whole is elegantly underlined by a discreet aging in wood and fine tannins.
The symbolic first stone of Domaine Chiroulet was laid in 1893, the year in which the Armagnac community mentioned him as one of its members. At that time, the property covered five modest hectares dedicated to mixed farming and livestock, like many Gers farms of the time.
Today, Philippe Fezas is in charge of the property. Guided by a sense of challenge and with a background as an agricultural engineer and oenologist, he has set the estate on a course of excellence. In particular, his experience in wine maturation, acquired with Seguin-Moreau, a reference cooper, broadens and refines his knowledge through his own wines. He practices responsible viticulture in phase with his environment.
