Fruity aromas of red and black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant, cherry) and red bell pepper. A silky texture, freshness and lots of pleasure for this easy-drinking wine.
Domaine Plô Notre Dame was born of a great-grandmother's passion for the vine and the land. In 1879, she left the pastures of the Montagne Noire. With her savings, she bought the first plots of vines in Bagnoles, a small Minervois village. Over the decades, her descendants, heirs to her fierce will, have continued to plant and work the vines.
In 2001, Nicolas Azalbert took over the reins and perpetuated the family tradition by vinifying the fruit of the vine. The clay-limestone soil, microclimate, configuration and maritime influences offer ideal conditions for producing top-quality wines. The 20-hectare estate is named "Plô Notre Dame", a locality in the commune of Bagnoles, where the property's oldest Syrah and Grenache vines are located.
In recent years, the estate has focused on single varietals such as Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Grenache noir, Syrah and Chenin blanc.
