Cognac François Voyer - 1993 Brut de Fût
"A singular event, for a Cognac and particularly with Maison François VOYER, for whom Vintage Cognacs are exceptional, the last one bottled dating back to 2008.
This is a single cask, 650 bottles, selected for its organoleptic qualities and surprising signature, representative of our prestigious Grande Champagne 1er Cru de Cognac terroir. "
Bottled in July 2023.
Nose: Hints of almond, bourbon vanilla, honey, white pepper and jasmine.
Palate: Powerful attack with volume and intensity. Soft, persistent finish. Notes of liquorice, walnut and subtle clove.
The François Voyer family home - and its 28 hectares of vineyards - is located in Grande Champagne, near Verrières. Since 1870, more than 5 generations have been distilling the estate's wines in just two stills (compared to up to 50 in larger distilleries). Their bottles can be found in the best restaurants in France: Ducasse, Lucas Carton, Laurent and many others. The Cellar Master Pierre Vaudon ensures the quality of the blends.
