A fresh, fruity Cabernet Sauvignon, with no added sulfites, aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks.

"There are wines that we imagine, that we "think about", that are born after having already existed in the winemaker's mind and after several attempts ... and then there are the wines that are born fortuitously, a little by mistake or by accident ... L'HERBE TENDRE is one of them. At the end of the 2020 harvest, the last Cabernet Sauvignons harvested were put into a wine cellar, due to lack of space in our vats: whole bunches, two punchings of the cap, no sulfiting ... L'HERBE TENDRE WAS BORN!

Following the success of Millésime 2020, we have produced this cuvée again. Still 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, still no sulfur, still vinified with whole grapes and only one cap punching. And still inside the bottle, the lyrics of the song that inspired us to name this cuvée."

Eco-designed approach: lightweight glass bottle, corks from FSC sustainably managed forests, pine resin-based wax, label on 100% recycled paper with water-based ink, recycled, recyclable and biodegradable cardboard.

It is in Moulon, in the family cradle (ninth generation of wine growers) that Joël Duffau settled in 1985. The vines are mainly located on the magnificent clay-limestone slopes of the commune: the promised land for Merlot. From his studies and internships in different wine regions in France and abroad (Burgundy, Beaujolais, La Rioja, California), Joël has kept an openness to others, an inexhaustible desire to discover, and a permanent questioning of his own.
