Bache-Gabrielsen "Aged 37 years" 1973 Cognac - Fins Bois
‘Unfazed by the Watergate scandal, the first oil crisis and the heatwave of August 1973, this vintage has lived up to all its promises after ageing for 37 years in oak casks and then 11 years in one of the demijohns housed in our Paradis.’
On the nose, sparkling notes of rose and passion fruit. On the palate, notes of coconut and caramel.

The Bache-Gabrielsen house was founded in 1905 by Thomas Bache-Gabrielsen, a Norwegian who had moved to France. Since then, cognac production has remained in the family, and today the founder’s great-grandson, Hervé Bache-Gabrielsen, has taken the reins of the company, with Jean-Philippe Bergier as cellar master. As a négociant-éleveur, the house prides itself on selecting only the finest eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne. It ages them carefully in Limousin oak casks to bring out their full potential.
