The history of Château Laroze began in 1882: Pétronille Aimé Nelly Chollet, wife of Gurchy, was at the origin of the construction of Château Laroze. This was an unusual fact, given the omnipresent role of men in the business world at that time. A woman of heart, she was a model of bravery, perseverance and benevolence for future generations.

Guy Meslin is today the custodian of these 400 years of viticultural and human history. Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion since the first classification in 1955, the 27 hectares of vines of Château Laroze are at the foot of the hill, in a single block, 1.5 km northwest of Saint-Emilion. It is on its siliceous soil - bringing finesse and elegance, and clay - allowing structure - that this wine is built, around the 5 grape varieties of Bordeaux: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Chateau Laroze is said to be a complex, multi-faceted wine, both rich and elegant, with balance and harmony as its main characteristics.
