Agerria "Lakoa" 2021 - Irouleguy
An aromatic, full-bodied wine, a blend of 80% Gros Manseng and 20% Petit Manseng aged in barrels for 10 months. Aromas of candied exotic fruits (mango, papaya) and delicate brioche notes on aeration. The mellow woodiness lasts a long time on the palate, with a fresh finish.
The symbolic first stone of Domaine Chiroulet was laid in 1893, the year in which the Armagnac community mentioned him as one of its members. At that time, the property covered five modest hectares dedicated to mixed farming and livestock, like many Gers farms of the time.
Today, Philippe Fezas is in charge of the property. Guided by a sense of challenge and with a background as an agricultural engineer and oenologist, he has set the estate on a course of excellence. In particular, his experience in wine maturation, acquired with Seguin-Moreau, a reference cooper, broadens and refines his knowledge through his own wines. He practices responsible viticulture in phase with his environment.
