Domaine des Soulanes - "Kaya" 2024 - Côtes Catalanes (bio)

"Made from Grenache and Carignan, both present in white and grey, this cuvée asserts its Catalan identity. The colour is light, the bouquet elegant, with notes of white fruit, yellow peach, acacia and wax. On the palate, the wine is well-balanced: full-bodied, round but also fresh, with subtle fruity notes accompanied by brioche flavours. A rich white to be enjoyed at the table". Cathy and Daniel Laffite set up Domaine des Soulanes in 2002, on plots of land that had been farmed organically since 1972. The estate is located in the commune of Tautavel, in the Maury production area. It lies in a natural corridor surrounded by scrubland, at the foot of the rocky peaks of the last Cathar stronghold, the Château de Quéribus. Its name comes from the geographical term ‘soulane’ meaning a hillside facing south-south-east.
