Bowmore 30 years - Edition 2021 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bowmore Distillery, the first official distillery on the island of Islay, off the west coast of Scotland, was founded in 1779. It stands on the shores of the town of Loch Indaal.
Distilled in 1989, this rare single malt whisky has been gently aged for three decades in the finest sherry and Bourbon casks. Defined by a rich fruity, tropical and sweet flavour, with hints of butterscotch, all rounded off by Bowmore's characteristic subtle peat smoke. This new annual limited edition release has been made in small batches by distillery manager David Turner and master blender Ron Welsch.
On the nose, aromas of ripe apricot, grilled pineapple, mango and butterscotch. On the palate, tropical fruit flavours with soft honey notes and subtle peat smoke. The finish is warm and persistent. 2976 bottles available worldwide.
