Cognac Martell - VSOP
A cognac with subtle aromas, aged in fine-grained oak casks. These casks have previously been used to age eaux-de-vie and have reached the ideal stage of maturity before being selected for this cognac.
Martell VSOP cognac is a harmonious blend of luscious fruit and delicate woody notes, with aromas of yellow fruit (mirabelle plum, greengage, apricot and vine peach) and gentle spicy notes revealed by the casks. A cognac to enjoy neat, on the rocks, as a long drink or in a cocktail.
The House of Martell was founded in 1715 by Jean Martell, a daring young man who at just 21 years old was driven by an unwavering commitment to quality. This philosophy of excellence, combined with a capacity for innovation, allows the House to constantly evolve and create new expressions of cognac.
From the very beginning, Jean Martell favored the Borderies area of the Cognac vineyard, which thus became the signature terroir of the House. The clay-limestone soils of the Borderies produce delicate and elegant, floral and sweet eaux-de-vie, characteristic of the Martell style.
