Louis Claude Desvignes "Javernières" 2023 - Morgon (organic)

Domaine Louis-Claude Desvignes is one of the most famous estates in the Beaujolais region. A family-run business for eight generations, the estate is located in the commune of Villié-Morgon. It has been run since 2002 by Claude-Emmanuelle Desvignes and her brother Louis-Benoît. The vineyard covers 13 hectares spread over Douby and the Côte du Py, with vines that are around sixty years old. Each terroir is vinified separately, with meticulous attention to detail and long maturation periods, in order to give the best possible expression to each parcel's distinctive character.

The Javernières cuvée comes from the southern and eastern foothills of the Py hill. It is made from vines that are over 40 years old and aged in cement vats for 9 months. It offers a delicate mouthfeel, with aromas of violet and blackberry. With its rich fruitiness supported by a long and fine tannic structure, it delivers a sensation of fullness. Pure indulgence!
