Louis Claude Desvignes Côte du Py 2024 - Morgon (bio)

Domaine Louis-Claude Desvignes is one of the most famous estates in the Beaujolais region. A family-run business for eight generations, the estate is located in the commune of Villié-Morgon. It has been run since 2002 by Claude-Emmanuelle Desvignes and her brother Louis-Benoît. The vineyard covers 13 hectares spread over Douby and the Côte du Py, with vines that are around sixty years old. Each terroir is vinified separately, with meticulous attention to detail and long maturation periods, in order to give the best possible expression to each parcel's distinctive character.

A Morgon from vines over 70 years old, aged for 10 months in cement vats. From the eastern part of the Py hill, which dominates the entire appellation, this beautiful cuvée has a nose with delicious, clean notes of licorice. With a fairly dense mouthfeel, it has rich fruit flavors supported by beautiful tannins. A nice aging potential to boot!
