Viña Requingua Potro de Piedra "Family reserve" 2018 - Curicó Valley, Chile

Viña Requingua, which in Mapuche means ´Corner of the Winds’, was founded in 1961 by Santiago Achurra Larraín. The property handles 349 hectares in seven different vineyards that are spread across Chile's main wine valleys. In 2016, Vina Requingua Estate was recognized as one of the top 100 wines in the world by the World Association of Writers and Journalists of Wines and Spirits.

The Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc that make up the Family Reserve come from the San Simon parcel on the hillside of Requingua estate. They are harvested by hand and carefully selected. The wine is aged 16 to 18 months in new French oak barrels.

A bottling of great intensity, length and complexity. The nose offers intense notes of plums, cherries, liquorice, vanilla and cocoa. Full-bodied structure with firm, rounded tannins as well as hints of cherry and toffee on the finish. Remarkable concentration, weighty body with tightly packed and ripe tannins, all sealed up with a long finish.
