Domaine des Soulanes - "Kaya" 2023 - Côtes Catalanes (Bio)

Made from 100% old Carignan vines, this red offers on the nose delicate notes of leather, black cherry, plum and savoury herbs. Medium-bodied, fresh and lively, with great purity and a lovely finish. Aged in concrete vats.

Cathy and Daniel Laffite set up Domaine des Soulanes in 2002, on plots of land that had been farmed organically since 1972. The estate is located in the commune of Tautavel, in the Maury production area. It lies in a natural corridor surrounded by scrubland, at the foot of the rocky peaks of the last Cathar stronghold, the Château de Quéribus. Its name comes from the geographical term ‘soulane’ meaning a hillside facing south-south-east.
