1977 Château Bélair - Saint-Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classé
The vineyard of Château Belair, located on the highest plateau of the area, borders the town of Saint-Emilion to the north-east and the Ausone estate to the south-east. Classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé since 1954, it has always been recognized for the elegance of its wines.
In 2008, following its acquisition by Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix, the vineyard was renamed Château Bélair-Monange in homage to Anne-Adèle Monange, Christian Moueix's grandmother.
