1970 Château de Roques magnum - Puisseguin Saint-Emilion - BG
* Damaged label, part of the name is missing*
Château de Roques has belonged to the SUBLETT family since the post-war years. Surrounded by his family and his team, Grégoire Sublett now runs the domaine; he is continuing the work of his ancestors to make the estate shine.
Situated at the highest point of the appellation, the Puisseguin vineyard is rooted in a plateau of clay soil and asteriated limestone subsoil, quarried for building stone in the last century.
The exposure brings out the ripeness and finesse of the grapes' aromas and tannins. A clay-silt hillside with good exposure to the sun provides strength and structure.
