Château Pineau Du Rey is the second wine of Château Filhot, a Sauternes 2nd Cru Classé appellation. The wines come from the young parcels of the same vineyard.
Created by Romain Filhot in 1709, the domaine includes 62 hectares planted in vines, on the southern slope of the hill of Sauternes. The varieties are Semillon (60%), Sauvignon Blanc (36%) and Muscadelle (4%).
