Domaine Chiroulet "Miocène" 2021 Blanc - Côtes de Gascogne
Named after the geological era that gave rise to its terroir, this dry white wine represents its quintessence. The Sauvignon Blanc and Gros Manseng grapes combine their virtues to produce a deep, taut, mineral wine that is distinguished by its fruity and floral intensity, and the originality of a subtle woodiness with notes of acacia flowers.
The symbolic first stone of Domaine Chiroulet was laid in 1893, the year in which the Armagnac community mentioned him as one of its members. At that time, the property covered five modest hectares dedicated to mixed farming and livestock, like many Gers farms of the time.
Today, Philippe Fezas is in charge of the property. Guided by a sense of challenge and with a background as an agricultural engineer and oenologist, he has set the estate on a course of excellence. In particular, his experience in wine maturation, acquired with Seguin-Moreau, a reference cooper, broadens and refines his knowledge through his own wines. He practices responsible viticulture in phase with his environment.
