Cognac Légier - Happy Cognac
Cognac Grande Champagne, 1st cru of Cognac - aged 2 to 4 years
Grape variety: Ugni Blanc
A complex nose with delicate aromas of yellow flowers followed by light notes of hazelnut and apricot. A well-balanced, complex and aromatic cognac with a long and elegant finish.
The family estate is located in Grande Champagne, in the village of Criteuil La Magdeleine, in an old Charente-style house called Logis de Barbe. It comprises 43 hectares of vineyards, all located in Grande Champagne. The vineyards are mainly planted with Ugni Blanc, a grape variety renowned for its ability to produce white wines for distillation, i.e. wines that are low in sugar and relatively acidic. This results in eaux-de-vie that are ‘delicate and floral, suitable for ageing’ (quote from Le Figaro).
Cognac Légier is HVE (High Environmental Value) and CEC (Cognac Environmental Certification) certified: two labels based on strict specifications and practices that respect the surrounding biodiversity. The packaging is also made from French products, manufactured locally to limit CO₂ emissions. It uses recycled and/or natural materials.
