Gin Confidential - Marie

This limited-edition floral gin gets its natural candy-pink colour from prolonged maceration of hibiscus flowers in a delicate distillate.

On the nose, intense floral notes of hibiscus mingle with subtle aromas of red fruit and citrus. A light herbal touch completes this fresh, delicate bouquet. On the palate, the attack is soft and silky. The post-distillation maceration reveals a lovely roundness, combining the freshness of the hibiscus with a slight sweetness that is naturally present. Its deliciousness continues through to an elegant, floral and subtly acidic finish. A refined gin that will appeal to lovers of balanced, floral flavours.

Two friends, Germain Raby and Axel Frétigné, are behind Confidential Gin, which they launched in 2018. The first is the son of a local winemaker, the second from the Bordeaux region. Confidential is already present in several Michelin starred restaurants, including Michel Sarran in Toulouse. 

Confidential is produced in small quantities in the heart of Germain's family estate in Segonzac, in the Charente department. Its name refers to the silk-screen print on the bottle representing a photo of a grandfather who lived in the Basque country and was a smuggler in his youth ; but also to the fact that this Gin is made against the grain in the land of Cognac.
