Cognac Prulho - Hors d'Age Voyage Grande Champagne
An XO cognac from the Grande Champagne terroir, 1er cru de Cognac and aged in Limousin oak barrels. This cognac invites us to take a journey through time.
The shape of the bottle is reminiscent of the "topette" that the cellar masters use to take their samples. The aged wooden case refers to the barrels in which the precious eaux-de-vie are aged, and the bung reveals the subtle colour of this blend.
Robert Pruhlo was born in 1926 into a modest family living in the heart of the Cognac region. He apprenticed as a boilermaker in 1942 but became a still builder in 1948. With his son Richard who joined him in 1981, they represent two generations of experience and passion. The importance of the quality of distillation has not escaped them. Perfectionists, they have built the most noble and efficient distillation equipment to equip prestigious distilleries in Cognac and throughout the world.
But their passion did not stop there: Robert and Richard have also developed their know-how in the elaboration of Cognacs. They have learned the art of selection, the secrets of toasting, ageing and blending.
They have thus created, in the purest of traditions, a range of exceptional Cognacs distributed selectively. Two gold medals reward the quality of Prulho Cognacs.
