Rapariga da Quinta - Reserva 2018 - Portugal

Fermented in open tanks, this wine has a rich, smooth texture. It shows dense tannins and young blackberry fruits accompanied by layers of acidity. Ready to drink, and will keep many more years. 

Created in 2004, the Rapariga da Quinta wines are made from grapes from a family estate in Reguengos de Monsaraz, called Terra Calma.

Winemaker for 30 years, Luis Duarte was awarded 3 times by the specialized Portuguese press as best winemaker of the year in Portugal: in 1997, 2007 and 2014. In 2006 he started his own wine business and he is now consultant for some of the most prestigious wineries in Alentejo. His wife Dora Simoes was for many years ambassador for Portuguese wine. Before joining Luis Duarte's company she was the president of the Alentejo wine region.
