Domaine Taluos 2013 - Cabardès
The vineyard is located at an altitude of 300 meters and faces the Pyrenees Orientales and the City of Carcassonne, in the heart of the AOC Cabardès. The vines are south-facing, on a long slope irrigated by six rivers. The Cabardès is the only appellation to combine the finesse of the Atlantic grape varieties with the fruitiness of the Mediterranean grape varieties, offering complex and elegant wines.
The harvesters take great care in sorting the grapes. They are harvested in the cool of the early morning and put in small boxes of 10 kg for transport. After de-stemming, the grapes are put in vats for 30 to 40 days, then the wine is aged for 18 months in barrels. Complex, it offers notes of ripe fruit and forest floor.
