In the summer of 2016, Brexit put the brakes on winegrower Manu Guillot's plans. His English importer terminated his contract and his banker refused him a loan for his ageing cellar. It was in these circumstances that he inherited twelve bottles discovered in his wife's grandfather's cellar. Among them was a Chambertin 1802. When he tasted it, time stood still. This wine is nothing like a Burgundy. It's an ancient nectar, a great Madeira!
