No Sex for Butterfly Blanc 2022 - Pays d'Oc

A blend of Roussanne, Grenache Blanc and Viognier. This white presents aromas of white flowers on the nose and then, in the mouth, very exotic notes. The aromatic finish combines freshness and a certain sweetness.

Château de Valcombe is the family property of Dominique and Bénédicte Ricome. They manage the 88 hectare estate with their sons, Basile and Nicolas. The vineyards are divided into Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault, Mourvèdre for the reds and Roussanne, Grenache blanc and Viognier for the whites. They are farmed organically since 2009.

The "No sex for Butterfly" range refers to the natural pheromone diffusers used to preserve the vineyard: they disturb the butterflies and prevent their mating and thus the birth of Eudemis, a caterpillar that wreaks havoc in the vineyards.
