Seven Yards - Blended Scotch Whisky Peated
Created in 1880 by Gaston Tessendier, the Distillery owns today an estate of more than 25 hectares located in Jarnac. 4th generation Cellar Masters Lilian and Jérôme Tessendier, compose and blend the eaux-de-vie thanks to the expertise and daily attention of the whole team. By launching into the production of whisky, the company opens a new page in its history.
Seven Yards is a blended Scotch whisky made from wheat and barley. On his first visit to the Scottish distillery he works with, Jérôme Tessendier was impressed by the height of their cellars. The barrels can be stacked up to 7 layers high, which is roughly equivalent to 7 yards. Hence the name chosen for this blend.
This cuvée (origin: wheat grain and barley) was first matured for 7 years in old bourbon casks in Scotland, then matured for 3 months in old cognac oak casks in France. This whisky is non-chill-filtered, naturally colored and has no added sugar. It will seduce whisky lovers with its fresh, smooth character. The nose is fruity and slightly smoky. The palate is round, full-bodied and vanilla-flavored, with a smooth, nicely balanced finish.
