“ à mon seul désir " - Château de Montfrin 2021 Costières de Nîmes (organic)

This cuvée is a blend of Syrah (70%), Grenache (25%) and Mourvèdre (5%). A portion of the Syrah is vinified in carbonic maceration, a method of vinification by intracellular fermentation that amplifies the aromas. The result is an elegant, airy wine with notes of violets and cherry, and a touch of spice.

Between Languedoc and Provence, between the Rhone and the Gardon, Montfrin, from the Latin "Mons Fremens" means "the mountain of wild animals" because animals fleeing the floods of the Rhone and the furious Gardons, came to take refuge there.
