Antidoto 2018 - Ribera del Duero, Spain
Produced for the first time in 2009, Antídoto is a wine that comes from a mosaic of 550 plots of old vines, arranged in terraces dotted with pebbles, in the easternmost area of the Ribera de Duero appellation, in Soto de San Esteban, province of Soria.
Composed exclusively of Tinto Fino Soriano (Tempranillo), it is aged for 8 months in 600l French oak barrels (15% new).
James Suckling:
"A wild and brambly edge to the ripe dark fruit here. This has a very succulent and saturated palate with fine, attractive tannin, providing plenty of structure and good shape. Fresh and attractive. Drink now."
