Kirrihill "The Entertainer" Chardonnay 2019 - Australia

Kirrihill was founded in 1998 by long-time friends Sean Edwards and Rob Stanway. The estate produces wines that capture the terroir of South Australia's Clare Valley and benefit from microclimates that offer a diversity of fruit and flavor profiles. The vineyards are managed sustainably, with respect for individual sites.  

The grapes used for this cuvée come from a premium vineyard in the Birdwood region of the Adelaide Hills. Maceration on skins for several hours to increase the richness and mouthfeel of the wine. After fermentation, the wine was stirred on the lees for two months to develop mid-palate smoothness and texture. The wine was deliberately left unoaked to retain its bright fruitiness and freshness.

The tropical fruit aroma and stone fruit and crisp apple flavours come through on the fruity palate. Beautifully balanced and excellent value for money.
