"Cantera", assemblage polyphonique
This expressive cuvée features 5 rare grape varieties from southwestern France, blended to create a unique harmony and honor a living tradition: the CANTERA. In the Pays Basque, Béarn, Bigotte, Landes and beyond, a CANTERA is a magical moment of sharing, during which singers gather to sing a cappella the timeless tunes of the regional repertoire.
In this cuvée, each grape variety expresses its own tonality, and the union of all, as in the CANTERA, heightens emotion tenfold. On the nose, the aromatic Colombard and Manseng grapes take the lead when young, while the others take a back seat, gradually asserting themselves over time. On the palate, the wine is rich and smooth, voluptuous and gentle. A complex and harmonious wine.
At the beginning, companions in love with the wines of the South-West decided to share their passion... They soon had an idea, a tenuous one, to do what no one had ever done, to create a quality wine merchant's house on the theme of the wines of the South-West, following the example of other regions such as Burgundy, the Rhone... Under the impulse of Lionel Osmin, "Lionel Osmin et Cie" was born, to carry loudly and clearly the discovery of the grape varieties and unique terroirs of this region: Jurançon, Cahors, Gaillac, Bergerac, and even Marcillac.
