Cognac Forgeron - Barrique 97
Like all Michel Forgeron cognacs, this Cognac "Barrique 97" comes from the Grande Champagne terroir, the most prestigious in the Cognac production area. Aged for over 20 years in French oak barrels, it has been patiently reduced by the addition of distilled water, and is now offered at 47% alcohol, a good compromise between preserving taste and aroma, and power on the palate.
Golden amber color. Cinnamon, vanilla and cocoa are the main characteristics of this cognac. The smooth taste of cocoa is very present on the palate. A truly enjoyable Cognac.
The family estate has been in existence since 1909, and the "Michel Forgeron" brand was created in 1977. Today, Pierre and Christophe Forgeron take over from their parents Michel and Francine. They have set as their priority environmentally-friendly practices.
