Domaine des Soulanes - Maury Grenat 2024 (Bio - Vin Doux Naturel)

Intense, straightforward, elegant Maury. In this fine natural sweet wine, the fruit dominates, between black cherry and blackcurrant with a hint of pepper. The attack is round and generous- fleshy fruit and liquorice - with supple, discreet fruitiness carried by tightly grained tannins.

Cathy and Daniel Laffite set up Domaine des Soulanes in 2002, on plots of land that had been farmed organically since 1972. The estate is located in the commune of Tautavel, in the Maury production area. It lies in a natural corridor surrounded by scrubland, at the foot of the rocky peaks of the last Cathar stronghold, the Château de Quéribus. Its name comes from the geographical term ‘soulane’ meaning a hillside facing south-south-east.
