"Villa des Causses" 2022

100% Malbec, Villa Des Causses is a cuvée that combines the authenticity of a world-renowned native grape variety with modern winemaking techniques. The result is seductive, colorful, fragrant, full-bodied and rich. Extremely easy to drink, it can easily be paired with a multitude of cuisines.

The region's “continental” climate takes advantage of the meandering Lot as a thermal regulator, softening winters and tempering summer heat in the valley. In autumn, the Lot becomes a natural barrier to precipitation from the north. The plots selected for this wine are located on two main types of terroir: the terraces along the Lot valley and the causse, the limestone plateau overlooking the valley. These shallow soils are sensitive to drought, but give a very spicy aromatic expression. The aim of this cuvée is to obtain ripe grapes without excessive concentration.

The nose reveals pleasant notes of red and black fruits, as well as a delicate woody note reminiscent of juniper and nutmeg. Ample and generous on the palate, with silky tannins and the same range of aromas as on the nose. Savory finish.
