Champagne Jean de la Fontaine - Brut "La Majestueuse” 2014

Composed mostly of Chardonnay, "La Majestueuse" pays tribute to the famous fabulist Jean de La Fontaine and the fable "The Lion and the Rat". According to the legend, his walks in the vineyards of the Marne Valley provided the inspiration for his stories.  With 15% aged in barrels, this structured cuvée offers complex aromas of ripe fruits (apricot, mirabelle, pear) and a touch of hazelnut and fresh brioche. A lively and elegant Champagne. 

"La Majestueuse" is produced by the Champagne house Baron Albert, a family estate of 55 hectares created by Albert Baron and his wife Beatrice in 1946. Today, the three Baron sisters (Claire, Lise and Aline, all qualified oenologists) manage the estate and the champagnes are certified High Environmental Value.
