Bas-Armagnac 1981, Baron Gaston Legrand

Bought in 1998 by the Lheraud family, famous for its exceptional cognacs, the Baron Gaston Legrand house is located in the heart of Bas-Armagnac in the commune of Lannepax. This venerable 120-year-old institution hosts a very large collection of old vintages, unique in the world!

1981 is a beautiful vintage, which produced a particularly well-balanced eau de vie: the nose is both fruity and spicy, of good intensity, with notes of baked apple, apricot and dried fruits ; the palate is both round and elegant, the finish is persistent.
