Maison Machenaud - Wine-based blackcurrant liquor
This handcrafted liqueur is the fruit of the encounter between the finesse of wine brandy and the freshness of blackcurrants from the Charente region. It's made from a maceration of blackcurrant berries blended with a syrup made the old-fashioned way in old copper cauldrons and subtly scented with a few spices - tonka beans, vanilla. It is both low in alcohol (19% vol.) and sugar, to give maximum expression to the red fruit aromas and subtle spice notes. The wine eau-de-vie used is entirely produced in the Maison Machenaud distillery in Hiersac, using wine from their own vineyards.
No colorants or preservatives. Drink chilled, plain or in cocktails. Perfect for aperitifs!
