Château Princé "Les Ardoisières" 2019 - Anjou Blanc (organic)
On the nose, white fruits mingle with smoky notes of gunflint provided by the ochre schist terroir of the estate. The fruity and mentholated olfactory sensations are subtle, complex and almost "energizing", suggesting a mouth full of life...
The mouth is balanced, in continuity with the nose, with a surprising aromatic intensity. The notes of quince and fresh apricot complete the asserted minerality. The final, full of relief, is at the level of the great Loire whites, with a characteristic saline acidity.
This estate located just outside Angers in the commune of Saint-Melaine-sur-Aubance was purchased by Mathias Levron and Régis Vincenot’s in 2002 - they bought Château de Parnay four years later. The estate vineyards form an exceptional plot, on a shale hillock overlooking the River Aubance. They are planted with Chenin Blanc and Cabernet franc. Château Princé was Certified Organic in 2015 by Ecocert.
