Calicem 2015 - Saint-Emilion Grand Cru - coffret Prestige, 3 bottles

Old vines and a micro-parcel - less than 1 hectare - combine to explain the small production for this exceptional wine which was first released in 2015: only 2800 bottles! 

Calicem is the result of a unique terroir belonging to the Grand Cru Classé Couvent des Jacobins, a vineyard planted in 1961/1962 and cultivated according to the principles of organic farming. The naturally low yields give very concentrated grapes, for a powerful and well-structured wine. The tannins are supple, the freshness is there, as well as a little salinity side on the palate.
