Clos des Meuniers 2017 - Château de Parnay - Saumur Champigny (organic)

The Château de Parnay covers 35 hectares. Cultivated in Organic Agriculture, the vineyard is made up of four blocks of plots, all located on an exceptional clay-limestone soil.

Clos des Meuniers owes its name to its exceptional location, with a northern exposure overlooking the Loire Valley. The ventilated position of this small plot of Cabernet Franc (0.26 ha) gives it a unique microclimate that allows the grapes to ripen gently, without excessive heat.

The wine offers a complex nose, the fruit is ripe and lively, the mouth is intense. Red fruits mingle with notes of roasting, with small spicy touches... All this without extravagance, with a lot of balance, and a well-integrated barrel ageing.
