1988 Château Brulesécaille magnum - Côtes de Bourg - BG
* Slightly damaged label *
Château Brulesécaille is located in the heart of the Côtes de Bourg appellation. It belongs to the line of Grands Bordeaux de Côtes. The RÉCAPET family acquired this estate in 1924.
The estate is in a single block, with a 500-metre square at the centre of which are the farm buildings. It currently comprises 26 hectares of vines in production. Situated on a clay-limestone ridge with gravel outcrops in places, overlooking the Dordogne valley, this terroir benefits from excellent drainage and an exceptional location. As a result, it was spared the frosts of 1945 and 1956 and has been able to preserve very old vines over 75 years old.
Today, the grape varieties are Merlot 59%, Cabernet Sauvignon 27%, Cabernet Franc 12%, Malbec or Cot 2%.
