Château Mangot - "L'autre " 2020, Saint-Emilion
Château Mangot comes from a historic vineyard that goes back to 1546, and which has belonged to the Todeschini family since 1989. Located in the east of the Saint-Emilion appellation, in the commune of Saint Etienne de Lisse, Château Mangot covers 37 hectares in one piece, including 34 hectares of vineyards.
This cuvée is the result of the philosophy practiced by Château Mangot, of their research on fruit and their work on maturation. It represents the culmination of several years of research in the development of a wine without sulfur, begun in 2011 and refined over time with Le Marmot de La Brande.
Voluntarily "OTHER", it is made from a selection of parcels (terraces and clay-limestone hillsides) and is composed exclusively of Cabernet Franc. Vinified with indigenous yeasts, it receives no added sulphur or other inputs. It is aged for 8 months in amphorae and jars to preserve the purity of the fruit.
