The Epicuro range is inspired by the philosopher and founder of one of the main philosophical schools of the Hellenistic and Roman ages.
The Salice Salentino is composed mostly of Negroamaro, complemented by other local varieties. It expresses intense aromas of candied cherries and plums, followed by notes of nutmeg, and finally touches of undergrowth and balsamic. It is fruity and fresh, with soft tannins and a long persistence in the mouth.
Femar Vini is a family business started in the 1920s by Manlio Mergè. He passed on his passion for the land to his son Armando who, in the 1970s, expanded the family business into the territories of Frascati, Monte Porzio Catone and Agro Romano, just outside Rome. His son Felice took over in 1995. The company can count on grapes from its own vineyards and on high quality grapes brought by long-time partners. Today, Femar represents both Felice's business and Armando's passion: the name is in fact an acronym for Felice Mergè Armando, and perfectly embodies the spirit of the third generation, oriented towards innovation but extremely respectful of the land and tradition.
