"Ampelosaurus" Chardonnay 2022 - Pays d'Oc

This Chardonnay" comes from plots in the Haute Vallée de l'Aude, between 200 and 350 m altitude. It is vinified in small temperature-controlled vats, then aged in barrels for five to six months. 

It has a delicate nose of white flowers, hawthorn and acacia. Elegant on the palate, with notes of white peach, lightly lemony and toasted, and a fresh finish.

Renowned for its high-altitude vineyards, the Haute Vallée de l'Aude is also Europe's main deposit of fossils of the last dinosaurs. In Latin, Ampelosaurus Atacis (70 million years ago), means dinosaur (lizard) of the Aude vineyard.
