Cognac Forgeron - Barrique 99
Like all Michel Forgeron cognacs, this "Barrique 99" Cognac comes from the Grande Champagne terroir, the most prestigious in the Cognac production area. Aged for over 20 years in French oak barrels, it has been patiently reduced by the addition of distilled water, and is now offered at 47% alcohol, a good compromise between preserving taste and aroma, and power on the palate.
Dark amber color. Cocoa, toffee, cinnamon and toasted notes. A very drinkable Cognac with lots of substance, woodiness and roundness.
The family estate has been in existence since 1909, and the "Michel Forgeron" brand was created in 1977. Today, Pierre and Christophe Forgeron take over from their parents Michel and Francine. They have set as their priority environmentally-friendly practices.
