Domaine Berthoumieu - Madiran "Constance" 2020
Combining typicity and modernity, this cuvée refers to the lady of heart of d'Artagnan. It is a wine of character, generous and aromatic, with velvety tannins. The nose reveals frank notes of blackcurrant, blackberry and raspberry accompanied by fine spicy notes. This interpretation of Madiran is designed for immediate pleasure.
Domaine Berthoumieu was founded in the 1850s by Virgile Dutour in the commune of Viella in the Gers. Following several generations, Marie-Line & Didier Barré took over in the 1990s to make it an undisputed reference in the Madiran & Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh appellations. On its 25 hectares, this property produces ambitious wines always combining personality, identity and balance. Claire and Marion Bortolussi, two sisters united in their passion for wine, are now continuing this work started more than 150 years ago.
