1985 Château La Bergère magnum - Montagne Saint-Emilion
Château la Bergère is located a few miles from Saint-Emilion. It belongs since 1998 to André Benoist and his son Camille. Produced on gravelly soils, the wines are both elegant and robust, supported by powerful and ripe tannins.
The Saint-Emilion appellation has a number of satellite areas to which it has generously lent its name. The variety of the terroirs of Montagne-Saint-Emilion is reflected in the wines. Merlot represents 70% of the plantings, followed by Cabernet Franc and other Bordeaux grape varieties. The wines offer aromas of red fruits and prune.
