Champagne Jean de La Fontaine - Brut Rosé "La Flatteuse"
A blend of chardonnay, pinot noir and meunier, "La Flatteuse" pays tribute to the famous fabulist Jean de La Fontaine. According to legend, his walks through the vineyards of the Marne Valley provided him with the inspiration for his stories. The label of this elegant rosé Champagne refers to the fable 'The Raven and the Fox', where the intelligence of the fox triumphs over the vanity of the raven. Aged on the lees for seven years, it combines the crispness of red fruits with richer and slightly toasted notes.
"La Flatteuse" is produced by the Champagne house Baron Albert, a family estate of 55 hectares created by Albert Baron and his wife Beatrice in 1946. Today, the three Baron sisters (Claire, Lise and Aline, all qualified oenologists) manage the estate and the champagnes are certified High Environmental Value.
