L'Îlot de Haut-Bergeron 2021 - Sauternes

This wine comes from a unique 4 hectare plot in Sauternes, acquired in 1990. Located on an island of the Ciron, a famous river in the appellation, it benefits from climatic influences ideal for the development of noble rot. The harvest is always early and offers a very fresh style with notes of flowers and citrus fruits. A rather modern Sauternes to be enjoyed young, on the fruit.

Château Haut-Bergeron is the story of the Lamothe family, one of the oldest in Sauternes. Inherited for more than 200 years, nine generations have succeeded each other and have shared the same passion for winegrowing. 

With 35 hectares in Sauternes and 12 hectares in Graves, it is one of the most medal-winning estates in the appellation. Patrick and Hervé Lamothe currently run it: they are respectively the cellar master and the vineyard manager. Leo, Hervé's son, has just joined them.
