"La Dune" 2021 - IGP Landes
"La Dune" is an invitation to discover the land that gave birth to this wine, around the Château de Bachen, the magnificent property acquired by the family of Michelin-starred chef Michel Guérard. Situated between vineyards and hundred-year-old oak trees, this haven is a benchmark of Landes viticulture.
This cuvée is a blend of Merlot (65%) and Cabernet Franc (35%), planted on a soil composed of clay, sand and limestone providing respectively body, freshness and vivacity. The wine is matured in vats, on fine lees, in order to bring fatness, roundness and aromatic complexity. A beautiful freshness and aromas of small red fruits, apricot and rose, with a light citrusy touch.
At the beginning, companions in love with the wines of the South-West decided to share their passion... They soon had an idea, a tenuous one, to do what no one had ever done, to create a quality wine merchant's house on the theme of the wines of the South-West, following the example of other regions such as Burgundy, the Rhone... Under the impulse of Lionel Osmin, "Lionel Osmin et Cie" was born, to carry loudly and clearly the discovery of the grape varieties and unique terroirs of this region: Jurançon, Cahors, Gaillac, Bergerac, and even Marcillac.
